Leicester will have to sign new players this summer. New attackers are much needed.
To build a proper squad you need a balance and players who fill out for each other. You need specialists and hybrid ability, you need experience as well as young freshness.
We have looked at the striker situation at the moment and looked at a few players that could be available and potentially interested and fitting the picture.
The problem at the moment is to really find the core of players who can be the backbound of a team challenging for a straight promotion back the EFL Championship.
We have no answers and the amount of players facing an uncertain time and potentially leaving the club. Jordan James would have been massive, but at this point we do believe a challenge at a higher level is more of a picture in relation to the full Wales international.
We addressed the manager situation yesterday. Today we are looking at the striker position. Patson Daka was given the chance to play here this season, but he looks gone with his contract running out in June. Jordan Ayew is not a top striker, strangely been used in this position, his contract is also out in the summer.

One player that comes to mind is Serdar Dursun. A German born Turkey international, currently playing for Kocaelispor. His contract is out this summer. Dursun is a proven goalscorer. He scored 7 goals in his 10 internationals for Turkey. Born in Germany, having his best years with Darmstadt. 54 goals in 100 league appearances is a good tally. He joined Fenerbahce in 2021, scoring 15 goals in 51 appearances. He is 34 years of age, so to give him a one year deal would be far from a risk.
There are good attacking options in League Two, League One and EFL Championship. But at this point those players looks fra from Leicester signings. The name Lyndon Dykes is one to listen to, but his goal average is a bit low to lead an attack, but still in League One, he could possibly do a job. The topscorer in League Two, Aaron Drinan, playing for Swindon. He is on 22 goals in 39 league appearances. 27 years of age with a past at Ipswich and Leyton Orient. There are striker talent in League One as well. Dom Ballard from Leyton Orient is one getting a lot of praise. Lorent Tolaj is one linked, and looking at him, he is a good option at this level.
Leicester were last summer linked with GAIS forward Ibrahime Diabate. He joined Alaves in Spanish Primera on loan and will available for a move in June. So far been on the field for 3 games, scoring 1 goal. The 26 year old forward has a good tally at GAIS, and one that could look at Leicester as a chance.
Tawanda Maswanhise who Leicester released, is currently the top scorer in Scottish Premiership. He is at Motherwell, having scored 17 goals this season. At the moment he looks out of range for Leicester, being at a level we do believe the Zimbabwe full international is not considering as a place to move.
We would love to see some great signings in the summer. Leicester managed to sign players from the Bulgarian top flight in their last time at level three. One to watch is Petar Stanic from Ludogoretz. The 24 year old Serbian international, is a player that makes his mark, being the top goalscorer of the Europa League.
