Harry Souttar and Abdul Fatawu Through to the Knock Outs with Australia and Ghana, All Leicester World Cup Relations

Harry Souttar and his Australia are through to the knock out’s of the World Cup. Souttar (27) has captained his side in the tournament and has a very important presence. The Socceroos ended second in their group with 4 points from 3 matches. Defeating Turkey 2-0, a 0-0 draw vs. Paraguay and a 0-2 defeat vs. USA, made it happen.

Yunus Akgun and Caglar Soyuncu were both in the Turkey squad for the tournament, but it all ended in a difficult situation. Soyuncu and Akgun was not regulars in the team, but both played. Their 3-2 win vs. USA made the highlight but those 3 points was what they got, with defeats vs. Australia and Paraguay they got an early exit.

England and Croatia are also through from this group. Harry Kane playing his part for England, Andrej Kramaric being a squad player for his nation. England will face Kongo, Croatia to take on Portugal.

New Zealand, with their captain Chris Wood, never managed to influence this tournament much. Strangely Chris Wood never got on the scoresheet, with his nation only picking up one point in the draw vs. Iran.

Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu will be playing their part when Ghana take on Columbia in the knock out stages. Ending third in their group, picking up 4 points from their 3 games. A strong 0-0 draw vs. England really stands out. Ayew is their captain, Fatawu also involved, mostly coming on from the bench.

Belgium played in the same group as New Zealand and are through to the knock outs. Youri Tielemans and Timothy Castagne are both players in the first eleven and has contributed well to the 5 points picked up from their games.

Bilal El Khannouss and his Morocco are through to the knock outs being impressive in the group games, winning vs. Haiti and Scotland, drawing vs. Brazil. Bilal played in all three games from start. They are now facing Netherlands.

Algeria are also through. Their captain Riyad Mahrez has also helped his nation to reach they knock outs. Pickedu up 4 points from 3 games, giving them a chance to play Switzerland in their next match.

Victor Johansson is yet to feature in the World Cup. Graham Potter has not played him, but used the two other goalkeepers in the squad. Sweden will face France in their next match, having picked up 4 points. They have beaten Tunisia (5-1), drawn to Japan (1-1) and heavy defeated by Netherland (5-1).

The last of our Leicester relations are with France. N’Golo Kantè part of their squad, but so far not been played in this tournament. France are through to the knock outs, with three impressive wins vs. Norway (4-1), Senegal (3-1) and Irak (3-0). They will face Sweden next.
