Accoring to well informed X publisher #AllAboutLeagueOne Leicester looks to have completed the signing of Conor Chaplin from Ipswich. This is a player who knows a lot about promotion as he was integral in helping his former club to both League One and Championship promotions.

He captained the Ipswich side on both occassions and is a player who can give Leicester the same type of edge. At the age of 29, still great to have in a team building a foundation of getting out of the third tier of english football.

Last season playing for Portsmouth. He spent the entire season on loan at Fratton Park. To rejoin his former club to help them in a relegation battle, adding up 36 league appearances and scoring 2 goals.

To see Chaplin signing for Leicester is a major positive. He is an experienced player, still with a lot left of his career and who can contribute for the club going forward. There are also talk of other players to join, as well as more transfers out, hopefully happening in the next days.

There are allready players back to prepare for next season, with the pre-season campaign said to start next week. Harry Souttar and Abdul Fatawu are still competing in the World Cup, but for the rest of the group, returning will be the option.

For fans who did see the return to fitness for Harry Souttar last season, hopefully he will be staying at the club and could be one to consider as captain for this football club next season. Abdul Fatawu would be a major surprise if stayed. He is one that looks to be gone when the season starts in August.

Leicester are also said to be in the hunt for Ryan Wintle. Cardiff surprisingly let him leave, being one of their important players in last years promotion race. But this looks a settled deal with Oxford said to be landing the player.

Nice to see some movement, hopefully more will be settled before the players return to pre-season training a few days from now.
