Fran Vieites has joined a new club. He will play for Portuguise club CS Maritimo next season.
His contract at Leicester was terminated a few days ago, possibly having this move lined up allready.
Fran did a good job at Real Betis and at the age of 27 he possibly had his eyes on more game time, not really being tested at Leicester at all. What he showed us during pre-season was enough to convince anyone that his ability is there.
He had played in the Europa Conference League with Real Betis, so to see him just being overlooked by Leicester was a surprise, especially having Asmir Begovic in front in the pecking order.

Wil be interesting to follow Fran Vieites on his journey, and of course holding an eye on his progress in our ex men and loan reports during the season.
CS Maritimo was promoted to the highest level last season, and will play in Premeira Liga this season. Exciting to see Vieites back in one of the major leagues in Europe, playing Sporting, Benfica and Porto.
