Early days yet and a long wait for potential new players to add to the squad in January. But moves in the market in January could be crucial for the ending of a season.
Claude Puel is known for his eye to spot younger players and see their qualities and get them further in their progression as we have seen especially with James Maddison and Ben Chilwell, who are both players to establish themselves as Premier League first teamers and England internationals at a very young age.
But could short term deals for players with certain qualities add that little extra spice that could be the x-factor needed to end in a crucial position among the six best teams in the Premier League this season.
To date Leicester City have a better start than in “5000/1”, looking at points picked up so far compared with the same amount of games, but will it be enough with the current squad of players.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is linked with a return to AC Milan, but would him joining Leicester City on a short loan spell for a number of crucial games in a period that in the last two seasons has been difficult for Leicester City. To have one of the best finishers in the game as a possible signing, and as we have seen so far this season, Zlatan can be a force.
To be able to attract big names and make transfers for other good Premier League players is not really possible so to go out to a league where you will find those legends might not be a bad idea.
Wayne Rooney will he be able to make a loan return from DC United and do a job for Leicester City. The focus would be huge and a short term loan deal might work wonders, as we have seen with former “old boys” coming back for a few games during a period where legs are heavy.
The last name to mention is Carlos Tevez at the moment close to a retirement, but the former Premier League winner with both Manchester City and Manchester United could maybe be a player to add to the group.
They all could be tempted to again play in the Premier League, even for a short loan spell.
