Exciting move for former Leicester City target who next season will play for Rosenborg

Leicester City were closely linked with Sarpsborg midfielder Kristoffer Zachariassen. The former Nest Sotra midfielder will next season play for Rosenborg. Sarpsborg who had a great last season playing in the Europa League but has in this present one been struggling and just avoiding relegation on the last day of the season.

Zachariassen impressed against top class opponents during the Europa League group play last season, but has struggled a bit lately with a few injuries and minor knocks and setbacks, but his top level has been seen occasionally and not scared off Rosenborg who will hopefully get the best out of the 25 year old midfielder.

He has been with Sarpsborg since 2017 and before that played five seasons in Nest Sotra and has a curve of his career that really shows the climbing ladder that many other players also have seen, making their grade and taking there levels as they appear and hopefully he will do just that with Rosenborg.

Zachariassen has no previous appearances at international level, but been close to a full international call up, and with this move to Rosenborg, a club who often gets players selected for Norway duty, this might be the best move for the player.

Rosenborg have struggled a bit this season, but luckily managed to climb to third place in the last game of the season and secured a place in Europe also next season. They qualified for the Europa League from a strong Champions League qualification, but was stopped on the last hurdle, and as a previous steady performer in this competition fans are always looking for that to happen again.

Maybe with Zachariassen in their team they are in close range of a new challenge in Europe next season, but they have to wait for another Champions League qualification as Molde became domestic league winners this season and will be getting that starting spot.
