Demarai Gray, who currently plays as a winger at the King Power Stadium, has been reported to have agreed on the personal terms of German outfit Bayer Leverkusen ahead of a formal transfer this winter with willing bet on his destination at the time.

The 24-year-old current contract with Leicester City is bound to come to an end at the end of the 2020/21 campaign, and from the looks of it, the attacker is not interested in extending his contract with the Foxes due to his lack of game time under Irish manager Brendan Rodgers.

Gray, who was reported to have attracted interest from Premier League club Crystal Palace and Ligue 1 side Marseille, fell down the pecking order of the Foxes’ starting eleven ever since the appointment of manager Rodgers from Celtic.

According to The Sun, the 24-year-old turned down potential moves from Southampton and Crystal Palace, who are both interested in the attacker, as he seeks to test his abilities away from English football.

Despite his fall in the Leicester City team, Gray will always be remembered for the role he played in their title-winning campaign, which was when he was regarded as a promising prospect in the Premier League.

Having kept an eye on the 24-year-old for a long time, Bundesliga outfit decided to go for the attacker as they agree on terms with the player, who was left out of the matchday squad of Leicester City in the fourth round of FA Cup against Brentford last weekend.

The report has it that Leverkusen believes that Gray could display impressive performance like every other young English players have done, like Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho, who both play for Borussia Dortmund and quickly became a key figure in the team.

Southampton, Crystal Palace, and Marseille were reported to be keen on signing the former Birmingham player, with pokies online Australia backing the trio with odds for their interest.

Ever since moving to the King Power Stadium from Birmingham during the winter transfer window in 2016, Gray has been able to find the back of the net 13 times in 169 appearances for the English Club lifting the Premier League title in 2016 under the reign of Claudio Ranieri.

Leicester City already sealed a move for their striker Islam Slimani to Lyon for a permanent deal.
