News are that the signing of Lille’s midfielder Baubacary Soumare is just a few days away, and that a deal of €30m will be announced soon.

Brendan Rodgers also looks close to another perfect deal involving Atalanta defender Robin Gosens, as he is eager to bolster his left side and perfectly targets the German international, as he is keen to cement Leicester City in the top four.
If Brendan is able to keep his best players over the summer and just let the men on the fringe leave, he will be close to get the ideal set up, and with his cleverness and sharpness he just needs a bit more time to get everything perfect.
TCF believe that you should build your squad around the preferred system and from there bring in the players you need to have the covers needed, instead of changing systems and just keep practicing on your own game.

The squad at the moment is build on the 4-3-3 set up, or if you like 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1, by certainty playing two forwards you are not really having the ideal set up and Brendan Rodgers knows that, but we feel that if Gosens and Soumare are arriving then we will see a setup that will be with one top forward, and if playing like this you would not be as vulnerable.
TCF feels that Luke Thomas takes steps towards becoming a reliable and top left back alternative, but still a young rookie, and one more left footed quality player is needed. In midfield Soumare could replace Hamza Choudhury who was close to leaving in January, with both West Bromwich or Newcastle ready to take him in.
Kelechi Iheanacho shows his grace at the moment and with Jamie Vardy also available to play in a wide and supporting role as he often did for England, you can have Marc Albrighton, Ayoze Perez or Harvey Barnes and even James Maddison up there, so if this happens you are looking at a stronger set up next season.
The problem for Brendan Rodgers might be the central defender positions and who to play, but we feel that it looks ideal to use four in the back and with a certainty of European football, you will need a good enough cover in every position.
