Leicester are out looking as they chase new players to add to their squad. Brendan Rodgers would probably be keen to get the best possible solution for his team and looking short term, free agent, Eliaquem Mangala (30) might be a player to search.
Leaving Valencia at the end of last season, strangely the player, once described as a defensive monster, has not yet signed a contract with a new club. The former Man City defender could be one to look at when you are trying to find the standards needed and get the best out there. A move for Mangala will not not see a transfer fee.
He is a former France international with 8 caps to his name picked up between 2013 and 2016. Since leaving Man City for Valencia in 2019, after also having a loan spell at the Spanish club prevously and once also playing for Everton.
Currently Eliquem Mangala is a free agent once the most expensive defender in football with a price paid of £32million by Man City from FC Porto. He is a previous league winner in Belgium with Standard Liege and also experiencing the same when in Portugal.
This is a player that will be chased in this January transfer window by many clubs around in Europe with French club St Etienne said to be keen. Not surprised if Newcastle and Watford also turns up with a link to this special player.
