As we mentioned earlier Leicester will be in search for a central defender with a few options possible still in the free agent market. Jonny Evans and Ryan Bertrand are both out with injuries and at their age to just push them into action will probably just send them back on the treatment table.
Wesley Fofana and Luke Thomas will not affect the list of 25 players as they are too young to be seen as full members, that would increase the number to 27, and with the club far from a limit on home grown, one more face would be possible to add or you could again gamble on Evans or Bertrand and just leave them out.
Leicester do have possibilities land players who are free agents and also players being able to move on as their current clubs can just cancel their contract. Edgar lè is this type of player and the former team mate of Bouba Soumare and his current agent agency Wasserman also representing Harvey Barnes and Jamie Vardy. Edgar lè will be availalbe on a free transfer.
There is one hurdle and that is, Edgar lè is currently out with the long term knee injury but at his best one player to watch. He will probably be out of action until the end of the season but again as a possible signing for free just a blessing in disguise. He recently switched his citizen ship to Guinea-Bissau and was selected to AFCON but had to withdraw because of his injury.
He will of course be in contention for a place as he makes progress going forward. Looking at him play you really see a ball winning defender just all around the place and of course Leicester do need more pace in the back to keep up with Brendan Rodgers approach to football.
We love the way Brendan Rodgers do like to play football and with pacy defenders you get a chance to play excactly as he likes, then why he signed Jannik Vestergaard is a difficult one. Caglar Soyuncu is a warrior in football and his defensive skills are perfect alongside a player such as Wilfred Ndidi or Jonny Evans, but he is not one who can run a defense in Premier League as both a language barrier and coolness might be stopping him from being the leader in defense and he will depend on a good partner or partners.
Brendan Rodgers will probably not act on free agents coming in at this time and rather use Wilfred Ndidi as an alternative central defender with a certain Nampalys Mendy back in the squad with a lot of energy and great self confidence as he has dominated in AFCON.
If Brendan Rodgers decides to keep his options open and add one more player he could risk one goalkeeper in Eldin Jakupovic and gamble on youngster Brad Young, but with Jakup Stolarczyk moving to Dunfirmline you would rather believe to see the experienced Jakupovic on the list of 25.
