The January transfer window is a hype and also the summer windows are. A bit of work towards the end did see a number of Leicester players on the fringe or in the development squad going out.

When a 17 year old academy signing becomes the only transfer in, with official sources not letting it out, as it will break with policy, moles are in, and sends out messages.

Arsenal did report on Amani Richards joining Leicester and we do believe telling about such happening would just be a joy as we do have little or nothing to report on. We do believe that it will be of public interest to get the official news and of course a big happening for the player, so with local newspaper and previous club both keen on a report, we do feel it is ok to go out in public as well.

Leicester was not seen as potential top seller og buyer in this window with Sam Hughes and Ali Reghba the two players involved in full transfers with a fee involved. Hughes was sold to Burton Albion and Reghba signed for Algerian top club Chabab Belouizdad. Early in the window we did see Arsenal again as a special hunter for Youri Tielemans with Liverpool also said to be keen, but nothing happened and we all have to wait until the summer to see if anyone will come in or if Youri will sign his new deal.

We did see a number of players going out on loans. Jake Wakeling joined Barrow, Josh Eppiah to Northampton, Jakub Stolarczyk signed for Dunfirmline and Vontae Daley-Campbell did get a move to SPL and Dundee. Not to forget Kasey McAteer who joined up with Forest Green Rovers.

Leicester had been linked with a number of names but they were all soft and we did never have any player in the hot section of our list, a few cool indications but mostly cold and as some would describe it, just soft touches of dust send out by agents and dreamers.

What will be the real great story after January is the return of a great number of players from the AFCON and also seeing new deals signed and of course seeing players back after long term injury problems. It will also hopefully be good experiences for all those youngsters getting a chance to play in full first team action.

Good luck to Filip Benkovic, Ali Reghba and Sam Hughes on their new adventures in football as we will have them followed on our Where are they now list.
