Nampalys Mendy is in a list of 34 players presented for the remaining games of the season. He is of course in there, missing out on the last one as he was more or less on his way out joining Galtasaray on loan. He was not supposed to have been at Leicester with this loan spell agreed, but a delay from international duty stopped Mendy and then missing also this term with Leicester.

With Filip Benkovic out, it is nice to see Mendy back as no professional footballer paid immense amounts of money should be sitting in the stands for half a year or not being included in first team activity.

The list have 34 names, but on that list you have also players beneath the age of 21 and they are listed so they can play if anyone decide to use them. Wesley Fofana and Luke Thomas are part of that group with Sammy Braybrooke, Will Alves, Lewis Brunt, Thanawat Suengchitthawon, Wanya Marcal-Madiwadua. Oliver Ewing and Ben Nelson all being part of the youth set-up. If there are chances to include even more players at a later stage with the same status as these youngsters we are not certain, but players such as Tawanda Maswanhise and Thakgalo Leshabela could be of use as they are both key players in the development squad for the games coming.

Brendan Rodgers should also honour his players and be more controlled on matters regarding players as Mendy himself looked as it as a massive problem and regarded it as setting his career in danger, but as we have seen it looks as if Mendy has been clever keeping himself fit and of course having AFCON as a massive goal this season.

The set-up is of course just with one major change but also a large number of youngsters are in there with their shirt numbers as you can see.

So we do welcome, 24. Nampalys Mendy back as he hopefully will add more quality to the squad as TCF believe that him and another international Dennis Praet are a step in front or above both Hamza Choudhury and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who are not proven full internationals.

Leicester will be back in action vs. Nottingham Forest in the 4th round FA Cup tie on Sunday the 6th of February. Their next fixture in Premier League are away at Anfield on the 10th of February.
