We had exciting hopes of seeing at least one Leicester player picked by Gareth Southgate, but this time he ignored Leicester and chose other options in his England squad.
That could of course be a blessing in disguise for Brendan Rodgers who will be able to keep a number of his players at home and part of his training group.
Jonny Evans is in the Northern Ireland squad but would have hoped he could have stayed at home as he returned to match action against Brentford and has been out for months.
Youri Tielemans has joined the Belgium squad. Timothy Castagne will not be involved this time as his return to action happened this weekend.
Kasper Schmeichel and Jannik Vestergaard are both in the Denmark squad for their games. Daniel Iversen, on loan at Preston, is also called up together with Christian Eriksen, being back for the first time at international duty since his accident in the Euro’s.
Kelechi Iheanacho and Daniel Amartey are both picked for duty as their two nations Nigeria and Ghana clash in a World Cup play-off. Ademola Lookman and Wilfred Ndidi were picked for Nigerian duty, but both looks miss the action. Ndidi is withdrawn and Lookman uncertain.
Nampalys Mendy will also be on his travels as he looks certain to take part in the action for his Senegal when they take on Egypt.
Caglar Soyuncu is part of the Turkey squad for their World Cup qualifier vs. Portugal.
