Alex Smithies looks to be on his way to Leicester. The 32 year old goalkeeper has a long career behind him at Cardiff, QPR and Huddersfield. Seen as one of the better goalkeepers outside the top flight.

Smithies will be the ideal signing as a third choice alternative as his experience and pattern in the game will give Leicester the player they need as a patient man in the shadows of Ward and Iversen, and then give Jakub Stolarczyk the chance to move out on loan.

Jakub Stolarczyk has shown both in the development team and on loan at Dunfirmline that he is a clever talent and to build on that with a season long loan at Fleetwood would be ideal for him.

This has again made a bit of movement in the squad and a new experienced man coming in will of course give us a new face and probably this will be a good fit for both the player and the club.

Alex Smithies is also a former England youth international with games from U.16 and up to U.19 level and can be an alternative if injuries strikes.

We have again made a new and fresh list of our hot, cool and cold updates as the transfer window soon will be closed.
