Struggling starts for Schmeichel and Hirst, Bassey flying high with Ajax, loan men and former foxes in action this weekend

A difficult start for Leicester in Premier League has seen many touting for a return of Kasper Schmeichel, but his start at Nice has been difficult. 7 goals let in and only one win and a draw in 5 games. Nice is at present 16 among 20 teams in Ligue 1.

George Hirst made his debut for Blackburn and had to see defeat to Bristol City and Nigel Pearson as The Robins took home 3 points after a strong 3-2 win. Hirst left the field after 61 minutes. Matty James played the full game and Andy King was an unusud sub for the visitors. Bristol City are currently 4th in The Championship.

Hoffenheim are 7th in Bundesliga at the moment and so far Andrej Kramaric has scored once in those five games played. A struggling start of Ben Nelson as his loan spell looks to have reached rock bottom with Rochdale as they are the bottom team of League 2. He has been involved in 6 games and came on as a sub in their 3-3 draw to Carlisle on Saturday.

Thakgalo Leshabela and his Crewe are currently 10th. Leshabela was an unused sub in the last League 2 games vs. Stevenage, but again given a chance to start vs. Bolton in the EFL Trophy, but it was a game to forget, losing 4-1. Leshabela played all 90 minutes.

Callum Wright was an unused sub for Blackpool in their 1-0 win away to Huddersfield. He must wait for his debut after joining The Seasiders in the late hours of the transfer window close. Callum Elder played 69 minutes for Hull in their 0-2 home defeat to Sheffield United.

Harry Maguire came on as a sub in the 80th minute as he celebrated a great win vs. Arsenal at Old Trafford. Ben Chilwell scored the opening goal for Chelsea in their 2-1 win vs. West Ham. He had just entered the field when his goal went in, coming on as a sub in 2nd half. Wesley Fofana played all 90 minutes for Chelsea.

Riyad Mahrez came on for Bernardo Silva as Man City managed a draw away to Aston Villa. Calvin Bassey played all 90 minutes for Ajax in their 4-0 home win vs. Cambuur, starting the season brilliantly with five wins in five of course being top of the table two points in front of Feyenoord.

Watford are currently 6th in Championship as they drew 1-1 away to Rotherham. Hamza Choudhury played all 90 minutes for The Hornets. Victor Johansson was in goal for Rotherham. Ben Hamer was an unusud sub for Watford.

Demarai Gray has played in all PL games for Everton this season and a strong performance at Goodison Park this Saturday as he played the full game in a 0-0 vs. Liverpool. Micheal Keane was an unused sub. Newcastle drew 0-0 at home to Crystal Palace. Jeffrey Schlupp played the full match for Palace, Chris Wood came on for The Magpies in stoppage time.

Vicente Iborra has joined Valente from Villareal and so far been involved in all 3 games this season. Iborra played the full game in their latest meeting vs. Tenerife winning 2-0. Shinji Okazaki has also been on the move this summer joining Belgian club Sint-Truiden. He was on the field for 89 minutes in their away draw to Genk and are currently 10th in the table. Sint Truiden fielded 5 japanese players as Okazaki has teamed up with another Shinji, Kagawa, the former Man Utd and Borussia Dortmund ace.

Sam Hughes was inolved in Burton’s 1-2 away defeat to Oxford, Elliott Moore was not involved. Tom Hopper played for Lincoln in their 0-2 away defeat to Cambridge. Mitch Clark played for Acrrington in their 0-2 home defeat to Ipswich. Josh Knight also experienced defeat this weekend as his Peterborough lost 2-1 to Porstmouth at Fratton Park.

Jakub Stolarczyk was on the bench for Fleetwood in their 1-1 draw at home to Wycombe. He is yet to make his debut being left on the bench in his first four matchday squad inclusions. Tyrese Shade and Jake Wakeling were both in the starting line-up for Swindon in their 0-0 draw away to Gillingham.
