Chelsea in search for answers as Leicester defender could be heading to Stamford Bridge in January

Caglar Soyuncu is so far this season not a player in the first team frame at Leicester. He has not been much involved as the bench has been his place.

Despite being left out by Brendan Rodgers, Turkey manager Stefan Kuntz picked him for the Nations League squad. Results were terrible against minor nations such as Luxembourg (3-3) and Faroe Island (1-2) with Soyuncu being pulled off after one half against Luxembourg and not involved vs. Faroe Island.

Caglar Soyuncu at his best is a top defender of European football. He is still very much part of future plans for Turkey as they managed to get promoted from C level to B in this Nations League season.

Caglar did play a massive part during those two 5th place seasons and his power and pace as a central defender might not be valued at present, but still not seeing his level of standards might be a bit foolish.

Chelsea, Inter and Atletico Madrid, even Real Madrid are all mentioned as possible new destinations and still Brendan Rodgers puts him behind in the pecking order, seeing Daniel Amartey, Wout Faes and Jonny Evans in front, even turning to Wilfred Ndidi as a central defender alternative and overlooking Cags.

We just have to wait and see what happens in January, but to believe in a life close to the freezer might not be the best idea when you try to look after your internatioal ambitions.
