Rumours regarding Youri Tielemans and a supposed move to Arsenal is no closer than it has been, with just rumours circling from unreliable sources. Arsenal might be interested, but will see grand competition as the World Cup will affect this transfer.
Leicester would of course listen to offers for Youri Tielemans in January, but are not likely to just hand the player to Arsenal, and to just believe The Gunners are the only candidate for Tielemans signature looks daft and totally disrespectful.
We all know about Arsenal and their head of recruitment Edu and their methods, but still far from convincing in this situation. They could have signed Youri Tielemans in the summer, but reluctantly stepped out of it, and did not forward a proper offer.
Youri Tielemans will use the World Cup as his window for his future, and also his recent rise in form at Leicester will of course be noticed. Arsenal might be in a good place at the moment, but to just believe that a footballer in demand would just walk in as if he had no other options is a foolish and selfish belief.
Juventus is said to have lost their hope and Leicester will be looking for an accaptable price and hopefully Youri Tielemans will shine in the World Cup and other clubs could come forward.
Liverpool looks to have a struggle on their hand with midfielders such as James Milner and Dean Henderson above their 30’s and lack of alternatives in a creative role.
Youri Tielemans would be the ideal signing for Liverpool as The Reds are in a terrible place and at this moment lack good alternatives with that type of qualities.
From a Leicester point of view it will be a terrible loss to see the deputy captain departing, but with his refusal to sign a new deal it will be important to get a fee as high as possible in January to finally get this move on it’s way.
Arsenal will probably regret their “stand still” in this transfer saga as the player himself, his agents and Leicester as a club would surely not bow and say “you can have one of our best players for free”.
