James Maddison was in the starting eleven for the first time as England defeated Ukraine 2-0. A grand win and at the same time a fantastic happening for the Leicester midfielder who had to sit and watch the 2-1 vs. Italy.
England do look solid as rocks, with a mission to again reach the Euro finals and hopefully bring home the trophy this time as they reached the final in the previous attempt.
Harry Kane, Harry Maguire and Ben Chilwell had their day on the field vs. Ukraine as Leicester made their presence with James Maddison and those former foxes also added quality to the team.
Great to see Gareth Southgate keeping faith in Harry Maguire despite the Man Utd captain being a bit in the shadows at Old Trafford under current manager Erik ten Hag.
Luke Thomas came on in the 76th minute, replacing Ben Arons from Norwich. England U.21 are flying at the moment, trashing France 4-0 and on the 28th of March they will take on Czech Republic for their next game.
Ben Nelson played from start as England U.19 took on Hungary and Iceland. A great 1-0 win vs. Hungary at Bescot Stadium in Walsall, but against Iceland, played in Rotherham, Nelson had to withdraw after 33 minutes. He is currently on loan at Doncaster.
