Harvey Barnes had a blistering start to his Newcastle career, coming on in 2nd half, scoring and assisting in a massive 5-1 win over Aston Villa. Youri Tielemans came on 2nd half, but had little or no impact as the struggle continued in this nightmare act at St. James Park.

Ben Chilwell made the most of Chelsea’s opening game of the season against Liverpool. Assisting and scoring, but his goal was taken away by VAR, as the two teams drew 1-1 at Stamford Bridge. Cesare Casadei was not named in the Chelsea squad and surely his move to Leicester looks done. Wesley Fofana was not either in the squad as he is out injured.

James Maddison put his stamp on the result as he assisted both Spurs goals in their opener away to Brentford. Ben Mee was not seen in the Brentford line-up as he is out with injury. Probably a massive blow for James Maddison to see Harry Kane being sold to Bayern Munich as a new adventure starts for the England captain.

Jeffrey Schlupp was in the starting line-up for Crystal Palace in their 1-0 win away to Sheffield United. Harry Maguire looks to have made a move from Manchester United to West Ham for a fee of £30million.

Michael Keane played from start for Everton in their season opener at Goodison Park, leaving the field in a 1-0 defeat to Fulham. No show of Demarai Gray, as he was not selected for duty. Calvin Bassey was an unused sub for The Cottagers.

Admiral Muskwe was not part of the Luton squad that faced Brighton, as The Hatters came to terms with Premier League action, being trashed 4-1 away at The Amex.

It will be exciting to follow Man Utd tomorrow in their season opener against Wolves and see if Jonny Evans will get minutes as he featured in the last friendly, coming on in the 64th minute against Atletico Madrid, being on the field, pairing up with Harry Maguire, coming back and scoring their 1-1 equalizer in stoppage time.
