Wout Faes start to the season has been very promising, and this day on international duty for Belgium certainly made it easy to say he is progressing to become a certainty for “The Red Devils”.

Faes made his 5th appearance for Belgium today and looks to have a place in demand. Youri Tielemans and Timothy Castagne both were in the starting line-up alongside Faes. Yannick Carrasco from Saudi club Al Shabab scored the goal in the 1-0 win.

Harry Souttar is an important player for Australia coach Graham Arnold, as the former Stoke captain could be in real action for the first time in four months. Australia will play Mexico in Dallas, Texas USA tomorrow.

Callum Doyle is also out on international duty being picked by Lee Carsley, playing Luxembourg on Monday. Doyle (19) is in for his first cap at this level if he gets game time. he has been capped at U.18, U.19 and U.20 levels previously.

Danny Ward kept a clean sheet for Wales in their 0-0 friendly vs. South Korea at Cardiff City Stadium. Ward (30) made his 33rd cap for The Dragons. Wales will play Latvia away on Monday, as it will be a surprise not to see the Leicester goalkeeper in goal again as he is the one preferred in competition with Wayne Hennessey (Forest), Adam Davies (Sheffield United) and Tom King (Wolves) all on the fringe at their current clubs.

Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi are both in the Nigeria squad that will play in AFCON qualificaton on Monday vs. Sao Tome & Principe. Former Leicester player Ademola Lookman is also in the Nigeria squad for this international. Nigeria are current leaders of their group and through to the finals.

Abdul Fatawu is not part of the Ghana squad to play Liberia on Tuesday, but the new loan signing from Sporting, has earlier played 14 times and scored 1 goal for his nation, so he could of course be part of the squad for the AFCON finals. Kamal Sowah are in the Ghana squad, the former Leicester man is at present playing for Standard Liege on loan from Club Brugge. Daniel Amartey was not in the squad for this friendly, but will most certainly also be part for the squad for the finals.
