Ricardo Pereira was signed by Claude Puel, moving to Leicester from FC Porto in the summer of 2018. The fee was €25 million. He has since joining, played 143 league games and scored 10 goals. Originally making his senior debut at Vitoria Guimaraes, with a prior life as a youth player for Benfica and Sporting.
Pereira made his full international debut for Portugal in a game vs. Russia back in 2015. He was also part of the Portugal squad for the 2018 World Cup. He has 7 caps for his nation, the last one coming in 2019, almost 6 years ago.
He has been a good addition for Leicester and his contribution has been very well seen, helping Leicester to two top five positions in Premier League, winning the FA Cup and as well being part of the squad getting to the Semi-Final of the Europa Conference League.
He was also very influential when Leicester took themselves straight back up from The Championship, being played in a special role moving into midfield when Leicester had the ball. This season has been hampered with injuries, but hopefully the useful right back will soon have his boots back on.
