We all know his importance in the Leicester team, as his return becomes better than any signing of a new player would be. Wilfred Ndidi showed in his minutes at Old Trafford that his presence will be alfa omega for Leicester for the rest of the season.
He was named captain in the absence of Jamie Vardy and Conor Coady. Ndidi was a natural out there, heavily involved in what happened in both ends of the pitch. He was the one in real assisting on the 1-0 goal, as Bobby De Cordova-Reid scored from a close range header.
We did all see what happened when Ruud van Nistelrooy decided to take Ndidi off after an hour. Of course being careful with his special diamond, but also potentially giving away a 5th round FA Cup game, as no one at the club can replace him at this point.
Oliver Skipp and Harry Winks are the two players to call on from the bench and with Hamza Choudhury moving on loan to Sheffield United, you really do not have anything to play as we have seen games without the Nigerian international. Harry Winks is not at all able to to the same job as his tackling ability and movement makes much difference. Skipp at this point has been one of the top disappointment as we had predicted somehting very different.
A bitter and extremely controversial defeat at the end but for the best part of an hour #LCFC had some renewed bite in midfield.

Ndidi is back and he was very influential
How ‘demanding’ Wilfred Ndidi’s return benefits Leicester City https://t.co/0VlZjYIB51
Without Wilfred Ndidi, Leicester will not be much worth in Premier League, as he also makes the two central defenders better, with him shielding the defence, being one to give especially Jannik Vestergaard enough time to get everything correctly, if the big dane is cought out in a sprint, we all know what happens, but as a manager you need to see the team build up as you can get the very best out of each player.
Rumours are that Leicester will not be able to keep Wilfred Ndidi if a relegation should happen, having him on a contract, could see the club getting a good fee for him. Atletico Madrid are eager to sign him. Man Utd and Ruben Amorim should have seen enough on Friday to put his name on their list of potential signings in the summer.
