Leicester City Struggles: Can They Turn the Tide?

Leicester are in a mess at the moment. The squad looks disillusioned. Chopping and changing in the back line has not worked at all. There are no penetration power up front. There are no goals. One hope could be Newcastle injuries, but again what they field looks stronger anyway.

Newcastle are on a much better ride at the moment. They have collected silverware, winning Carabao Cup. They also have a team that has a clear momentum. This game comes up at a time when we have stopped bielieving in miracles. Sadly, there are no fairy stories at Leicester this season.

We cannot see too many changes happening. Harry Winks and Jannik Vestergaard looks to have fallen out with the current management team. Both were left out of the squad for Man City. Jordan Ayew came in. Ruud van Nistelrooy fancies him. So, seeing Ayew starting would be no surprise.

We believe Caleb Okoli and Facundo Bounanotte could be given starts. Patson Daka has struggled heavily when being introduced in a role alongside Jamie Vardy up front. We do believe a change is needed and instead give a starting opportunity to Facundo Bounanotte. Considering Jordan Ayew as a partner up front.

Harvey Barnes will most certainly be in the Newcastle line-up. Filling in up front with Anthony Gordon out. This will be Barnes first return to King Power to face his former club.

Newcastle United have traded Castore for Adidas from the 2024-25 season, after a £40 million ($50 million) per year deal for five years was announced in September 2023.

The Magpies reportedly ended the kit deal with the British manufacturers after repeated complaints from the club’s fans, while the German sportswear giants have promoted Newcastle to one of its ‘Elite’ teams alongside powerhouses Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Juventus and Bayern Munich.

Adidas previously designed Newcastle’s shirts for 15 years between 1995 and 2010 with the likes of David Ginola, Alan Shearer and Faustino Asprilla featuring in them.

A bold home jersey showing classic Magpies style, made with recycled materials. With three wide black stripes front and back, the bold design of this adidas Newcastle United FC home jersey conjures memories of some classic Magpies kits. Perching on the back neck, a vintage club badge flashes more football heritage. Moisture-managing AEROREADY and soft interlock fabric ensure fans stay comfortable while they look forward to a bright future. This product is made with 100% recycled materials. By reusing materials that have already been created, we help to reduce waste and our reliance on finite resources and reduce the footprint of the products we make.
