A time for everything. The day has come for Jamie Vardy to split company with Leicester City. He has been with the club for 13 years. He is just 4 outings away from reaching 500 competitive games for the club. He will achieve this milestone if he plays the rest of the games this season.

JV9 will not retire from football. He will look for a new adventure. Hopefully, it will be abroad. This will avoid seeing him play for another English club. That would be very strange. We will see what happens.

He joined Leicester from Fleetwood for a fee of £1million. He was signed by Nigel Pearson, coming to the club in 2012. In his first season at Leicester he scored 4 goals in 26 league games. This was Championship life.

Gradually he build a good relationship with Kevin Nugent as the two paired up front. He has also had fantastic relations to other players such as Marc Albrighton, Riyad Mahrez, Shinji Okazaki and Leo Ulloa. Later we have seen him adapt to other playing styles. He played with a number of different players around him. He often play as a single target man up front.

Sad to see such a legend leave, but it is a time for everything. The club is at the moment at a crossroad. It is facing a new relegation. It is building a new foundation for the future. They need to balance it all up.

We wish JV9 all the best on his future journey in the game. Fantastic to have seen him play live and also having the pleasure of meeting him in person.
