Wilfred Ndidi (28) is very close connected to Leicester. He is rooted in Leicester with his kids at school. He holds a solid role in the Nigeria national team. He is their captain. He surely will be considered for a similar role at Leicester, now that Jamie Vardy is gone after this season.

At this age, Wilfred Ndidi has his part to play for Nigeria. We will be very surprised to see him moving on to another club. He has a good and solid foundation at Leicester.

Harry Winks and Jannik Vestergaard have struggled to adapt to Ruud van Nistelrooy and his clear rules. Both have lost their positions in the team. Top club managers in England do not prefer players commuting long distance. Ndidi and his family is so grounded in Leicestershire. Forest, Villa, and Wolves are the clubs to look for, if a move is to be considered. Ndidi knows he will be playing regularly at Leicester. He would not be certain of playing regularly if he joined one of the three clubs mentioned above.

Ndidi’s current contract runs until the summer of 2027. His terms will not be easy to level for any club in other European leagues. Counting out the top clubs in Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and La Liga, you have very few options. Turkey is a place to consider, but we have seen other former Leicester players making this move. Besiktas, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are the clubs who could afford Ndidi. Moving your family to Istanbul looks an odd affair. It is especially challenging with his kids being school children.

Wilfred Ndidi is a player Leicester fans would love to have around for next season. His contract is long term. Therefore, we do believe a move looks very unreal. Different pundits are talking about Ndidi, giving recommendations. One is former Leicester midfielder Lee Hendrie. Sadly, he does not have the full picture. Ndidi himself has shared his thoughts about this season. He has experienced two relegations from the Premier League in the last three seasons.

The club looks far from being in a hurry to sell Wilfred Ndidi. There are other players more suitable for a transfer. The main focus for Leicester is to get straight back up to Premier League. This will only be done with a strong presence of experienced players. Ndidi alongside Pereira and Coady are the trio to call for in this club taking steps back to the top. Jordan Ayew can also be one of great importance, being a player with qualities needed for such a push.

Jamie Vardy will leave, Jannik Vestergaard and Harry Winks are also seen as very likely to depart. We certainly believe that Wilfred Ndidi will be staying at Leicester. His decision is related to his close connections to the city. It is also influenced by his family situation. Additionally, he values the realism of playing regularly for a club at a top level. Turkey looks totally unlikely, no move will happen, to any of the top clubs in that league.
