Michael Morrison (37) captained Cambridge to a great 1-0 home win vs. Cheltenham. He was also seen as man of the match. His team made a great start to their League Two campaing. Ryan Loft also made the field for Cambridge, coming on in the 81st minute.
A difficult start to the season for Richie Wellens and his Leyton Orient team. They had no chance against a well prepared Huddersfield team, triumphing with a 3-0 home win.
Brian Barry-Murphy got a good start to his management era at Cardiff, winning 2-1 at home vs. Peteborough. Joe Wormleighton was in starting line-up for Northampton in their 1-3 away defeat to Wigan. Callum Wright, on loan from Plymouth, was an unused sub for The Latics.
Mitch Clark was in the starting line-up for Port Vale in their season opener at home. They lost this game 2-1 away to Rotherham.
A number of former Leicester players can be in action tomorrow in Championship. Callum Elder (Derby) could be in the starting eleven in their opener vs. Stoke away. Viktor Johansson could be in goal for The Potters.
Southampton face Wrexham in the early kick off game tomorrow. Matty James, Lewis Brunt, Conor Coady and Danny Ward are four former Leicester men who could be inolved.
Sidnei Tavares could make his debut for Blackburn in their season opener vs. West Brom. He is back in England after a time in Portugal with Moreirense and FC Porto. He also had a loan spell in MLS with Colorado Rapids.
Daniel Iversen and Preston are facing QPR away. Norwich and Jeffrey Schlupp are up against Millwall at Carrow Road. Gary Rowett and his Oxford with Elliott Moore in their ranks will play Portsmouth at home.
