Leicester 2, Sheffield W 1, positives and negatives, player ratings and match report, Championship fixture

Leicester were huge favourites at home to Sheffield W. Marti Cifuentes had surprisingly dropped Hamza Choudhury from the starting line-up, replacing him with James Justin.

Sheffield W surprised us all with a good start, as they early on took the lead. Scoring their goal after 26 minutes. Chalobah the goalscorer.

A few minutes earlier Jacub Stolarczyk showed his class with a brilliant save pushing the ball in the post and out.

Sheffield W played smart. Leicester did not find the formula to break them down. But slowly they took over more and more, without really creating what was needed to score.

Leicester were 1-0 down at half time. Coming out 2nd half, Harry Winks was in, Oliver Skipp going out. A great start from Leicester pushing hard for a goal.

Jannik Vestergasrd got the ball inside the penalty area from a Bilal cross. He more or less stumbled the ball over the line lifting it over the goalkeeper. Great to see the equalizer that eraly in the second half.

Leicester produced chance after chance. Then in the 67th minute it was time for a major change in the picture, Barry Bannan getting his second yellow and The Owls were down to 10 men.

A number of changes made from Leicester manager Marti Cifuentes made Leicester more offensive. Daka, Faes, Monga and McAteer were all in. Replacing Okoli, Fatawu, Mavadidi and Justin, pushing for the winner.

A brilliant cross from Bilal found Faes inside the penalty area. The header was perfect placed as the ball found the net. Leicester had taken the lead in the 87th minute.

It was a long wait as 9 minutes were added on. Fantastic to see Leicester in the lead and having control towards the end. Daka, Ayew and Thomas all having brilliant chances to score.

2-1 win, well deserved. Great start.
