Two Leicester Transfers That Will Change Fortunes As “Jesus” Help Could Get This Team Back On Track

Leicester desperately need new and fresh faces in January. They need to be smart in their selection and changes to get this team back on track.

Chris Wood used to play for Leicester, hopefully he would fancy a return. The 33 year old will go to the World Cup in the summer with New Zealand. He is at the moment not playing for Forest, who have found “Jesus”.

Chris Wood (33) has a strong competitor for the target man job at Forest in Igor Jesus (24). The Brazilian international is also much younger. 9 years to be absolute. Jesus arrived from Palmeiras in the summer.

Chris Wood is currently out injured. His return date is not set, but hopefully back in action in January. He lives in the neighbourhood with just one year left on his contract when entering next season. Leicester should try to fix this move either as a loan or a permanent deal.

According to @TMuk_news , Ross Barkley has a contract expiring at the end of the season but the club have the option to extend it for one more year if they wish.

In midfield the use of Aaron Ramsey is still very uncertain. A young player who is struggling heavily with injuries. He is most certainly not prepared to play week in and week out in that offensive midfield position. At the moment, Leicester do not have a player to fill that gap.

The one that strikes out as the ideal man is Ross Barkley. Barkley (31) would bring the power in that role. He is also on the fringe at Aston Villa and in need of game time. He would fit any team in the Championship. His contract is up in the summer and could be available on a free.

It’s exciting to see if two experienced full internationals, Barkley and Wood, would consider a loan switch or permanent move to Leicester. That would be perfect, because Leicester is not far from a special unit at this level. However, it needs power and other individuals in certain areas that currently are missing.
