We have taken a look at the numbers of players who have been out on loan this season. Henry Cartwright, Wout Faes, Bilal El Khannouss and Woyo Coulibaly have all been playing on the highest levels in league’s outside England.
Sammy Braybrooke, Nathan Opoku, Jake Evans, Will Alves, Jayden Jospeh and Tom Wilson-Brown are all players who have experienced life on loan in lower league tiers of English football this season.
Kian Pennant has also had his loan spell this season, playing for Woking and Gateshead in National League.
Bilal El Khannouss has completed his move to Stuttgart, after being loaned out for the season. The season is not finished and he has played 24 Bundesliga games, scored 4 goals, and been a success.
Wout Faes joined Monaco in January. Another successful loan, believed to end in a full move. He has played 12 league games, no goals. Leicester will receive a good fee for the Belgian international.
Woyo Coullibaly has been at Sassoulo this season. 17 league games this season in Serie A, surely this must be seen as a good tally for a player that was ignored and totally overlooked at Leicester when arriving at the club in January 2025.

Henry Cartwright has been far from a certainty in the Falkirk team, mostly used as a sub, but in a way contributed well in Scottish Premiership. He has been fielded 31 times and scored 2 goals so far this season. This must be described as a success.
Sammy Braybrooke started the season on loan at Newport County. He made a switch and had his second loan spell at Chesterfield, getting them into the Play-off’s this season. Braybrooke played 21 league games for Newport, scoring 2 goals. At Chesterfield, 17 games 0 goals.
Nathan Opoku spent the full season at Newport. He made a total of 30 league games, scoring 6 goals. He was part of Christian Fuchs survival formula at Rodney Parade. Thomas Wilson-Brown spent the season at Swindon, helping Ian Holloway and his team to a 9th place in League Two. Wilson-Brown played 22 league games.
Jayden Joseph got a lot of praise in pre-season and surprisingly left the club for a loan spell at Tranmere. Tranmere finished in the 20th position, just two points above the relegation zone. Joseph played 30 league games and scored 3 goals.
Jake Evans made a switch to join Northampton from January. A difficult time for The Cobblers, getting relegated. Evans played 16 league games and scored 2 goals. Will Alves also had a mixed bag at Huddersfield, getting injured, but still played 12 games, scoring once. The Terriers finished 9th in League One.
The last on our list of recruits on loan was Kian Pennant. He played 10 games and scored 1 goal during his loan spell in National League with Woking. Earlier in the season he was with Gateshead, playing 10 games and scoring 1 goal there as well. Woking ended 10th, Gateshead in 18th position.
