Conrad Logan was a surprise return to the 5000/1 Aniversery game. With Kasper Schmeichel out injured and Mark Schwarzer not either at the game, Logan was the back up for Ben Hamer.
He played a key role in the second half with one important save and showcased his penalty-saving skills. The current manager of Anstey Nomads made two great penalty saves, to help Leicester win it in the end.
Ten years ago, he saved two penalties in the Scottish FA Cup semi-final, result at full time, 0-0. He later won the final with Hibernian, defeating Rangers. Yesterday’s occasion was the perfect copy of that semi-final.
Logan was registered as a goalkeeper for Leicester for 10 years between 2005 to 2015. He was seriously injured during a loan spell at Rochdale. This happened in December 2014, later being released by Leicester in the summer of 2015. After a period with recovery, he returned to the game in March 2016, signing a short term deal with Hibernian.
In his first senior game for sixteen months, he was man of the match in Hibernian’s Scottish Cup semi-final win against Dundee United. Logan made a series of saves during the match, which finished 0–0, then made two saves in the penalty shootout. A close as you can get to a copy of yesterday’s aniversery game.
Despite this performance, manager Alan Stubbs opted to restore regular goalkeeper Mark Oxley to the starting lineup for the following match. Logan regained the starting place before the promotion playoffs, in which Hibs lost to Falkirk 5–4 on aggregate. He then started the 2016 Scottish Cup Final, which Hibs won 3–2 against Rangers. Logan left Hibernian at the end of his contract after making eight appearances for the club.

Ten years ago, while Leicester was having its own fairytale, Conrad Logan saved penalties, as he did yesterday, and later that season won a Scottish FA Cup medal.
Despite being, more or less, on loan during his 10 years at Leicester, he made a good career at other clubs, being lend in as a firefighter and cover for injured players, doing the same yesterday.
He just turned 40 on April 18th. He is a large man, but his agility was impressive, demonstrating how to properly execute goalkeeping.
Nice to see Conrad Logan back in action at King Power Stadium. He played 23 league games for Leicester. In total, 479 counting games in league and non-league action.
