Archie Collins is a another attacking, creative midfielder who could be close to a Leicester move. He has left Peterborough this summer, being listed as a free agent.
He will certainly not be that much longer, having potential options listed. The former Exeter player with more than 300 league games in the bag, is not more than 26 years of age and will be a proven player to bring in.
It will be interesting to see how Russell Martin will blend the youth prospects, with the more experienced line of players expected to be dragted in.
Archie Collins is not that midfield battler that Leicester miss heavily since Wilfred Ndidi left. Hamza Choudhury has the skills to do that job, but not been valued to fill the gap in the midfield centre.
We do see a potential for Hamza Choudhury this season, holding that anchor role, but most reports suggests he is on the way out with Birmingham among the clubs chasing his signature.
Henry Cartwright, spending last season on loan at Falkirk in the Scottish top tier, were among the players reporting back at Seagrave today. Cartwright (21) is a proper alternative all over the midfield area, playing 34 league games last season at a good level.
There are so many open questions to ask, but still also a lot of promise in the group, and also alternatively players being linked looks good alternatives to bring in. Hopefully a good new unit will be in shape when the season kicks off in a few weeks.
We're pleased to welcome Conor Hourihane and Rhys Owen as members of our First Team coaching staff 🤝

There are also news on the coaching side, the club welcoming Rhys Owen (fitness coach) and Conor Hourihane (assistant manager) who has joined Russell Martin on the first day of pre-season.
We have earlier talked about Conor Hourihane, who was linked with the position. He has a past at Barnsley. He was in charge at Oakwell, during last season, leaving the club after the season end and now coming in as Russell Martin’s assistant manager.
Rhys Owen has also joined and has worked with Russell Martin in the past. With the changes taking place at Rangers, it was possible for Owen to rejoin to be part of this new journey.
Adam Sadler and Andrew Hughes will leave Leicester, after a spell at the club under different regimes. Andy King is said to continue and be part of Russell Martin’s set up for next season.
