Nice to see Leicester in the chase for Norwegian attacker Tobias Lauritsen. We actually pinpointed the player as one to watch and bring in. In early May we wrote an article, believed Lauritsen (28) would be the ideal man to bring in for this season.
The 1.96m man has done well in Dutch Eresdivisie with Sparta Rotterdam. He left the club this summer, after his contract finished on the 30th of June. He is currently without a club.
Lauritsen will be a great catch, but he is also getting interest from other clubs. Celtic and Sampdoria are said to be eager to sign him. One major point for the player himself, is to get regular game time and contribute as that one striker up front.
He is A perfect fit for Russell Martin and the structure he will bring to the table. Sparta Rotterdam primarily utilized a 4-2-3-1 system, though they occasionally rotated into a traditional Dutch 4-3-3, depending on the opponent and match state.
These are important factors to look at when you build a team and that players can adapt straight away. His height and physical strengths are valued. He is not as pacy as JV9, but a player who can hold the ball up, and be a danger in the penalty area, both on the ground and in the air. His presence would give an offensive midfielder, such as Conor Chaplin, great benefits. This would be an iconic “Little and Large” partnership.

We are hoping for something to happen regarding transfers in, but not for the purpose of that alone, finding the correct additions and mixing this up with the best of what is left in the squad as well as giving the balance of youth, will be important.
There is also talk about other players right now. We are waiting for the Conor Chaplin of course, but there are also other players considered.
