Possible loans can still happen until the end of August. Championship clubs are eager to sign better players in on loan to either get their campaign on track or just be able to keep the progress flowing.
Today West Bromwich is mentioned as a possible destination for Wes Morgan, who could look like he is close to play a part in a “loan window”. Wes, who was left out of the team against Wolverhampton, will be under pressure with Soyuncu and Evans both signed to be alternatives in central defence.
Other players who could see their season elsewhere are a group with Eldin Jakupovic, Andy King, Callum Elder and Danny Simpson. Hamza Choudhury and Callum Elder are two others, Fousseni Diabate could also be added to that list.
Darnell Johnson has just renewed his contract and tcf rates the god son of Emile Heskey highly, but he could also be leaving to get first team experience, but would see Puel keep him, since he is a star in the making.
The recent inclusion of Papy Mendy in the first team line-up will see him as a possible stay, earlier being linked with a loan to Marseille as a possibility.
Claude Puel is doing the only right thing to slim his squad of players and not get a much easier handling of players, and also keeping his focus on the team and not using “mind time” on his casualties.
We will see by the end of August who will be going out, but it will be very interesting to see who will be shipped out and how long the loans will be, that again will give an indication of the rest of the season.
