Leicester City not finished with their summer transfer business as defender looks close to move

Brendan Rodgers looks to have settled his chase for a full back as both James Justin and Timothy Castagne can cover the left back position as well as being great alternatives to the right in the absence of Ricardo Pereira.

Cengiz Under is believed to complete his move to Leicester City in a few days and as we wait for that confirmation the chase for a central defender is going on with a number of names in the mix. James Tarkowski is the player Brendan Rodgers would like to get in, but Leicester City will not pay the asking price of £50million . No secret either that Tarkowski is eager to get to his next step in football, and would love to move to Leicester City.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers are also considering other options with German international Jonathan Tah a major target and also in a chase for St. Etienne defender Wesley Fofana. If either Tah or Tarkowski is to be signed this could set question mark to the future of Jonny Evans and he would likely then be sold as Brendan Rodgers would not place Tah or Tarkowski on the bench.

With Wesley Fofana it’s a different scenario as the player is younger and would probably be seen as a cover for Soyuncu and Evans and just get this season to be able to adapt to Premier League action. His talent is there, but it might be the player last on the list of wishes as Rodgers is seeking a more permanent solution and if Tah or Tarkowski is coming in, we will definitely not be seeing Fofana in Leicester City colours.

Adrian Silva could finally end his nightmare at Leicester City with Valencia also entering the race for the highly experienced midfielder who was last season loaned to Monaco. Silva (31) is also linked with Sampdoria and talks of a move to CSKA Moscow has also been seen.

With the signing of Castagne and Under we should expect a third deal going over the line, but so far it’s just a guess and race between three names Tah, Tarkowski and Fofana.
