This season Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall made his debut in Premier League after a few seasons out on loan and previously been involved in FA Cup and EFL Cup action.

Kasey McAteer and Lewis Brunt were two other academy players that made this landmark as well, alongside the new signed players such as Boubakary Soumare, Jannik Vestergaard, Ryan Bertrand, Patson Daka and Ademola Lookman.

This made the list of new fresh faces at Leicester to the count of eight, which in a way shows that probably there were more changes in the set-up than we would have liked, but still some players might be eager to work on their platform.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall became important and had a good season, still not a finished article, but maybe and hopefully he will not be forgotten and given opportunities to exhale from his present base. He added up 44 first team appaerances in all, scoring 3 goals.

Kasey McAteer left Leicester in January and dropped down to League Two action with Forest Green and gained more experience from his loan move as he made a total of 9 appearances and helped FGR to a grand promotion.

Lewis Brunt has been in and around the first team but still Brendan Rodgers called on him once for action in Premier League, coming on away to Tottenham. The 21 year old defender who also can operate in midfield came on a free transfer from Aston Villa in the summer. He also made an appearance in the 4-1 3rd round FA Cup win vs. Watford.

The other players of course coming through the season as new players were all signings from other clubs permanent or on loan. Ademola Lookman joined on loan from RB Leipzig and made a good impression and helped the club through a difficult period, a total of 42 appearances in all, scoring 8 goals.

Jannik Vestergaard had a turbulent start to his Leicester career with a few shaky performances, but as we all know, put in the correct position and alongside the correct player, one that can be special with his height and good distribution. In total 20 appearances in all competitions.

Ryan Bertrand looked promising in pre-season but injuries and sickness made his presence limited to just 11 games and only 4 of them in Premier League. Soumare and Daka were other new faces to appear in the Leicester team and they never really cemented a place in the set-up and needs to work on their performances next season. Looking at Daka he was actually involved in 38 games and scored 11 goals, from a statistical point of view, not bad at all, but still we believe there is much more. Soumare also added up 30 appearances, but still we feel he had a season not to the standards of a former French Ligue 1 winner.
