Youri Tielemans, James Maddison and Caglar Soyuncu are three players all in their prime. To see them leave and move on is sad. Tielemans and Soyuncu are set to leave on a free in the summer, and the contract situation regarding James Maddison is just sad to watch as he looks for another more exciting shirt to fill.
Why Leicester cannot convince the trio to stay and why Brendan Rodgers has been using Tielemans and Maddison and constantly overlooked Soyuncu is also a topic to talk about.
The new training ground, stadium plans and new signings done in January looks to be of no importance for players as they ignore this, but hopefully Leicester will be able to push on without having players pushing for moves instead of see their future at Leicester and fighting on.
Man City managed to move themselves from a money less has been, back to a real contender for regular trophies, after their take over and the same has happened at Newcastle, able to bring in players that Leicester cannot.
Agents are pushing players to move on and as we have seen with Kalvin Phillips this season at Man City, you could soon see James Maddison and Youri Tielemans in the same frame. They are not players that will walk into the first eleven at any of the top clubs at this moment, so the risks are that they will end up on a bench somewhere, .
Youri Tielemans must be careful as his status cannot be that major at Man Utd’s, Arsenal’s and Liverpool’s, not really eager to make a move for him before he ready to move on a free.
Leicester looks to struggle to convince their best players to stay on and the situation with Caglar Soyuncu is also tragic as his value in the transfer market is close to £30million if he had started regularly at Leicester.
What the future will bring is difficult to predict, but we certainly hope that the club can be able to make good sales when needed and not be trapped into situation that will not see them get one single penny out of moves for their best players going forward.
James Maddison will most certainly leave in the summer, Man City looks the likely destination, but his life at The Etihad will be one very difficult as we have seen with many players in the past not being part of the regular set up.
