Changes in coaching and personel will affect routines for players in play and style. Brian Barry-Murphy comes from the Man City structure. He has a background of different roles up and down the pyramid of English football.
This can of course affect players life. Jannik Vestergaard, Bouba Soumare and Ricardo Pereira are three grand examples. To see such change in a life as a footballer, being rolled in and out of the team, being loaned out, suddenly see yourself totally out of the picture, makes heavy questions in how a football club function.
We have no insight to what Ruud van Nistelrooy and Brian Barry-Murphy are doing on a daily basis. However, it seems there are frustration between the coaching structure as clash with players are said to have taken place. This is evident from different comments in forums and media regarding certain areas of the style.
Leicester managed a win and a draw in their two first games under Ruud. From a coaching view, basics from the previous regime were bart of that. They were just putting out a team being coached by former manager Steve Cooper and his assistant Alan Tate.
Since the arrival of Brian Barry-Murphy results have not been very good. There are still a lot to learn for the players with the new regime also having Andy King inside the camp finding his place and position.

Another main problem for players being introduced to a new coaching set up as part of managers coming and going is the adaption period. Some players would like certain drills, others have different opinions.
Some view training sessions as mere routines. However, if not every drill and focus targets that special goal, your game plan will seem disconnected. It will not align with the week’s focus.
We certainly hope that Brian Barry-Murphy and his new staff have an approach that players can quickly understand. They should be able to progress in it and have meaningful relations to it. If your day becomes chaotic, it will be hard to follow. You will lose precious minutes, and sessions may be wasted.
