We had again no hope for nothing, predicting a 0-2 defeat, and it all started as we had feared. A team far from on their toes from start giving away a goal after just 1,5 minutes into the game.

The line-up was shockingly the same as vs. Man City. Very strange to see this set up again, looking doomed from the first minute. Newcastle just crushed Leicester to the ground with effective play and good movement.

It was time again for a freaky situation. Newcastle defender Fabian Schar picked up the ball on his own half. His long distance shot took Mads Hermansen by surprise. Hermansen was shockingly too far out with no control at all. He ran back like a clown in a circus. The ball hit the bar. Jacob Murphy followed the route of the ball. He put it in the open goal. The score became 2-0 after 11 minutes played.

The game was in all over, with no plan, especially defensively, looking flat and out of spirit. Then to make it even worse, Harvey Barnes turned up in the 34th minute to score Newcastle’s third goal, 3-0.

Ruud van Nistelrooy must be blamed for everything. He has an ignorant approach and disregarded every rule in the book. He should have started other players. Some of the ones he constantly played gave him nothing. He made changes for second half, credit to him for that.

Stephy Mavididi and Facundo Bounanotte came on for Patson Daka and Victor Kristiansen. Both changes worked as Leicester came higher in the field with a structure more mirroring what the played against.

The real problem for Leicester is the midfield area. It looks flat and has little power. There are too many backpasses. Having wingers in the second half helped. Then in the 74th minute, Jeremy Monga and Ricardo Pereira came on, they ignated the Leicester team.

Monga in for his debut. He was a positive and bright light, Pereira also making the most out his minutes. It was lovely to see the 15-year-old entering the field in a commercial-free kit. Youngsters are not allowed to promote online gambling. Hopefully this will not be the last to see of the highly talented youngster.

Leicester could have scored in the end with a few attempts. Newcastle also had chances and could easily had their fourth, but it all ended in a 3-0 win, well deserved.

  • Positives
    • Ricardo Pereira and Jeremy Monga coming on and doing well
    • Getting some type of momentum second half
    • Patson Daka double posting, but an offside on Vardy ruined that as well
    • One positive for Ruud, giving Jeremy Monga his Leicester PL debut at the age 15, respect
    • Keeping it 0-0 second half
  • Negatives
    • The line-up, the structure and letting in a goal as fast as lightening
    • Letting in three goals in the first half
    • First half looking totally flat with not fighting spirit
    • Playing the same team as against Man City, surely changes should have been made
    • Not using all his subs, strange and fatal for players sitting out when you are 3-0 down, depressing
    • 15 defeats in 16. 8 defeats in a row without scoring
    • Surely not knowing his strongest line-up, and no control of his subs, juggling around

Player Ratings: Hermansen 3, Coady 3, Kristiansen 1, Faes 3, Thomas 3, Justin 3, El Khannouss 3, Vardy 4, Soumare 3, Ndidi 2, Daka 2 Subs: Mavadidi 4, Bounanotte 3, Monga, Pereira
