According to Leicestershire Live, Ruud van Nistelrooy is back in Holland. Leicester are yet to give any official information regarding the manager and his situation. Several reports, including reputable sources like Sky Sports and BBC, claim that Leicester are likely to change their manager.

These reports also suggests that Russell Martin is the frontrunner for the job to be vacant. There are different ideas on what is going on. Therefore, there is no clear view on what will happen at this point.

Several websites were out with calls about who would take over. They also claimed that Ruud van Nistelrooy was finished. The headliners used claim that this is sealed and delivered, but in fairness so far nothing looks to be settled.

Different names are mentioned as potential candidates to take over as manager, describing Russell Martin as the favourite candidate. Hopefully some official news soon will be given, but if Ruud is staying, they do not need to confirm that. He is on a running contract until June 2027.

Telegraph journalist John Percy is among the best informed on Leicester. Leicestershire Live commentator Jordan Blackwell is also relevant. Additionally, The Athletic correspondent Rob Tanner provides excellent insights. They are yet to make any claims or concrete information in this manager matter.

The last we heard from John Percy related to Leicester is the article above. He never comment on different websites and their saying. The once that have been concrete and very certain are websites often to rely on sources that are not reliable. It could be they are taking a chance when providing concrete information on something not yet confirmed.

Russell Martin seemed certain from earlier claims. However, today the odds are even on Danny Rohl to get the job. Rohl is being positively talked up by certain groups of the Leicester fanbase. His assistant at Sheffield Wednesday is former Leicester player and coach Chris Powell. Another assistant of Danny Rohl, Henrik Pedersen has been mentioned as one to be on his way to Leicester. This trio will be seen as a much more positive appointment than taking on Russell Martin.

Russell Martin is one with a reputation and his record at Southampton in Premier League before getting sacked looked awful. Last season he had two terrible results vs. Leicester, 0-5 and 1-4. This season he throw away a 2-0 lead for Leicester to win 3-2. Martin is also a stubbern type that likes to play a very possession orientated football. The board might have discovered how the Leicester fanbase reacted. There are so many mixed feelings regarding the former Saints boss. He will not have much to go on if he is taken on board.

In the last two instances when Leicester changed management in the summer, fans had to wait for announcements. These announcements came on the 20th and 16th of June. Enzo Maresca joined on the 16th. Steve Cooper was appointed on the 20th last year.

A rumour suggest that Leicester will wait until the 30th of June to make any announcement in regards to PSR. Another reason for not having cleared everything with Ruud at this point could be financial. Money from a sale for either Mads Hermansen, Bilal El Khannouss, or Wout Faes must be sorted.

We just have to wait and see what the outcome will be. It certainly becomes very interesting to observe how this manager situation will be sorted in the next days to come.
