Belgium left it late. It was 36 year old Leicester defender Janice Cayman scoring the winner, 6 minutes into stoppage time. Portugal equaled to 1-1 in the 87th minute. Belgium took an early lead after only 3 minutes play.
Leicester defender Sari Kees also played. The two vixens were among the best players on the field. Janice Cayman picked up a 7.6 character. This was the highest of points on the Belgian team.
Belgium avoid the bottom position in the group, but ending behind Spain and Italy. None of the Leicester players involved will most truly not reach the knock outs. Wales do have a theoretical chance to go through. They must defeat England with a lot of goals. That outcome looks very unlikely to happen. The Netherlands must then lose their last game to France, also with a great number of goals.
Anyway a great pleasure to watch Leicester players appear and scoring goals. Thanks to all for the entertainment and great involvement. Who would have thought this a few years back when Leicester had no say in English women football.

Other news from the Leicester women camp is that both Yuka Momiki and Susan Howard have left the club. Their contracts came has come to an end. Momiki have decided to join Everton. Howard has not yet found a new club.
There are so far not any news of new players coming in. We just have to wait and see what will happen. A mixed list of names here. Who will sign new deals and those who may move on in June. It’s clear that Yuka Momiki, and Sophie Howard are leaving. Hannah Cain hopefully will renew. Jutta Rantala is hopefully returning and a player you want to return hopefully offered a new contract. Courtney Nevin, C.J Bott, Julie Thibaud, Sam Tierney, Shannon O’Brien, Deanne Rose and Lena Petermann are others out of contract.
