Leicester Players and Ex Men International Update: Belgium, Denmark, Croatia and Ghana Shine

Sunday, 07.09.25, A new strong result for Belgium as they continued their good form. Kazakhstan had no chance in a game, which the “Red Devils” won 6-0. Youri Tielemans captained the side, also having Timothy Castagne in the starting line-up.

Yunus Akgun were in the Turkey starting line-up when they were defeated 0-6 vs. Spain. Caglar Soyuncu was an unused sub for Turkey. Bartosz Kapustka came on second half for Poland when they defeated Finland 3-1 at home.

Monday, 08.09.25, Denmark with Kasper Schmeichel in goal came home with a solid 3-0 win vs. Greece. Jannik Vestergaard and Mads Hermansen were unused subs in the match. Andrej Kramaric scored one of the goals in Croatia’s 4-0 home win vs. Montenegro.

Chris Popov scored on of the WalesU21 goals when The Dragons were defeated 6-2 vs. Denmark. Jordan James played from start for Wales in a friendly vs. Canada. Not the result you hoped for losing 0-1 on the day.

Bilal El Khannouss and Patson Daka playing each other in the international between Zambia and Morocco. Both started the game for their nations. A strong 2-0 away win for El Khannouss and his team.

Riyad Mahrez was in action for Algeria when they drew 0-0 away to Guinea. Jordan Ayew captained Ghana when they defeated Mali 1-0 in a World Cup qualifier.

Viktor Johansson was an unused sub when Sweden surprisingley fell 0-2 to Kosovo. Robin Olsen, playing for Malmo FF, holds the former Leicester academy man Johansson out of the team. Johansson has been in great form for his club, Stoke, and a surprised to see him dropped.

Tuesday, 09.09.25, Kasey McAteer came on second half for Ireland when they fell 1-2 away to Armenia. Harry Kane was the only player in the England team with a Leicester relation. A fantastic result for Three Lions coming home with a 5-0 win.

Tawanda Maswanhise had to see defeat when his Zimbabwe fell 0-1 to Rwanda at home. Ademola Lookman and Wilfred Ndidi were both in the starting line-up when Nigeria drew 1-1 with South Africa.

Ryan Donnelly played from start for N Ireland U21 when they drew 1-1 with Georgia.
