Following Arsenal and Man Utd: Key to Leicester’s Forward Line Success

Stephy Mavididi is in his third season with Leicester. He had a great start under Enzo Maresca, then since struggled with form, injuries and not really found the good rythm back.

He looks very much part of the plans under Marti Cifuentes. We suggested a rotation for the trio we prefer up front. Mavididi, Monga and Fatawu. This is a trio of great talent, football knowledge and goalscoring ability.

Marti Cifuentes has said he is open to the idea to play the trio, but still not utilized the option. He has altered Patson Daka and Jordan Ayew. Daka, is most certainly, in the AFCON with Zambia in January and February. Ghana did not qualify so both Ayew and Fatawu will not be going.

The fact that both Jordan Ayew and Patson Daka are out of contract in the summer, would see Leicester having few options. They are still waiting on their destiny regarding a potential points deduction, as we have said before, unlikely to happen, but anyway this will give Marti Cifuentes a chance to give the trio a chance to shine.

Stephy Mavididi is the natural to play up front as the striker with Monga and Fatawu playing on the flanks, alternatively switching positions as earlier suggested. You also have other options to try out, but to overlook this trio would be difficult.

All three are also on long term deals, so the future are absolutely on their side. Will be very interesting to see what happens as the season goes on. The team has changed and moved in different directions, so we just have to wait and see.

Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo are flank attackers that has been switched to a main striker position and they scored goals for fun. Stephy Mavididi could easily to the same.

Leicester manager Marti Cifuentes has a lot to carry out over the next few months as use of money at this point looks far from happening. Julian Carranza is an option, but we need to see a lot of improvement to be able to trust the Argentinian being a potential starter, especially when Patson Daka was the player called on to carry out the job up front to be more in line with the pattern of play prefered by Marti Cifuentes
