It’s been a while since we had a special report on the development players and teams. We are in December and half of the season is gone. We had the pleasure to attend a game live earlier in the season. We were at Seagrave for the U21 outing vs. Blackburn.
At the moment Leicester City U21 are competing on several arenas. The players used are very young. Seeing them progress and compete at this level is impressive. This remains true even with a few negative results lately.
Leicester City U21 will play their next match against FC Nordsjælland Reserve U21 on 9 Dec 2025. The match will be at 19:00 in the Premier League International Cup. The U21’s last three outings are all cup games. They have struggled in two matches vs. Ipswich as well going down 4-3 vs. Boreham Wood in the England Natioanal League Cup. The European experience so far is not good. Leicester U21 are at the bottom of the table. However, it is still a valuable learning experience for the young recruits.
In the Premier League 2 competition, Leicester are 10th in the table. The last game as far back as the 7th of November, winning 6-2 at home to Birmingham. The next league game will be on the 9th of January away to Everton.

With a number of players out on loan, younger prospects are getting games in the development team. Riley Carr, Darren Motsi, and Lorenz Hutchinson are good examples of special talent. They are now getting the chance at this level at a very young age.
The U18’s played their last game on the 29th of November away to West Bromwich. It ended in a 1-1 draw, Lorenz Hutchinson scoring the goal. The U18’s are 7th at the moment in their league. The way things are going in the academy at the moment are just positives.
Among those young players, one other to watch is Hugo De Lisle. De Lisle is an England U17 international. He is exceptional with the ball. He is also special in his movement. He uses his skill to make the correct moves and decisions to contribute to his teams winning games. A special player, interesting to follow his progress.
