Brendan Rodgers needs to bolster his squad from January and onwards as players do struggle to get fit and with a few also going to the AFCON you will see new faces arrive at the club.
We have addressed a few in our list of players that could be targets, but surely there are races for those men that might be lost and the list most grow as targets are approached.
There are players that at the moment are battling in the league below and as we all know Championship is a league highly rated and by many seen as a top 10 league in Europe. You will probably find as much quality here as you do in below the top four leagues.
TCF have looked at a few players that at the moment are far from being linked but in a way targets as they most certainly will be back at the highest level sometime soon. One is John Swift who left Chelsea in 2016 to join Reading and has since added up 165 league appearances and scored 28 goals for The Royals.
A clever offensive midfielder and of course eager to get back to the highest level and by many said to be ready for the climb. We did see a number of newspapers telling a story about the forward Joel Piroe and that Leicester were keen on his services.
The problem for Leicester is that they do look thin in almost every area as players are getting injured and sick day in and day out and other players not really showing the strength needed to keep up with the heat.
We all know what quality will cost as former signings such as James Maddison did not come cheap, with James Justin being the total opposite coming in for a bargain. So are there other names to consider. Would like to see probably four new players added as the AFCON will affect the selection and the dip in form of certain will also have something to say.
Sandar Berge from Sheffield United is seen as the most valuable player in this league at the moment and the player is set to a value of £18million.
Interesting days coming up as Leicester do need probably to gamble on their options and it could be that players from Championship could arrive at the club soon as more bodies of quality is needed to get this season over the line.
