It all looked well planned and good to see Brendan Rodgers making a bit of rotation as his squad is getting minutes and hopefully could gain vital experience from it.

Mendy was back in the team and also Daka with a full switch of the back four also done, as Leicester gave starts to Lookman and Perez as well.

The team looked well balanced in a shape and form that would be good enough to pick up points at St. James Park and when Ademola Lookman scored from an Ayoze Perez assist in the 19th minute we all applauded and everything looked perfect.

The shambles started 15 minutes later when Kasper Schmeichel made a mistake you would not believe was possible for such a mature and experienced footballer, it was a gift handed to Newcastle and their goalscorer Guimarez that managed to hit the ball in a way that it went over the line, just not possible in real life to manage, but at St. James Park this Sunday it was possible.

2nd half became a dull affair and the closest Leicester came to a goal attempt was when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall played the ball into the penalty box and Kelechi Iheanacho pushed the ball over the line and stumbled, besides that situation it was nothing.

Brendan Rodgers put on Maddison, Barnes and Iheanacho to get some sort of reaction with Lookman, Perez and Dake just vanishing more and more as the game went on.

Then in stoppage time when everyone thought the game was over, Newcastle went forward for a last attempt and in some way managed to get a chance created and again Guimeraz was last on the ball as he secured all three points for Newcastle.

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers must be upset with the way a few of his players managed turned off the gass and looked totally uninterested with Luke Thomas and Youri Tielemans totally of the pedal in periods. Could have given a start to Hamza Choudhury also as Tielemans might have needed a rest, his performance was shocking bad.

Leicester missed all three points after being 1-0 up and again losing everything again, three points in this game should have been possible with all the possession they had.

  • Positives
    • Scoring the first goal from a nice set piece
    • Great possession and domination of the ball
  • Negatives:
    • Kasper Schmeichel with a clowns act on the Newcastle equalizer
    • Letting in two stupid goals and just hand all points to Newcastle
    • Not able to create much with total domination
    • BR again getting zero with a plan to rest his best
    • Too many back passes, to far back and stopping attacks and penetration
