Leicester U.21 continues their struggle in Premier Leauge 2 as they are cemented at the bottom four points behind the next team as another defeat is seen. Wolves came out 1-0 winners with a goal from 19 year old Oliver Tipton in the 79th minute.
Sammy Braybrooke and Will Alves are two players that are missing at the moment, and with these two out you do not have enough cover to bring in that type of quality from the ranks below.
The fact that the U.21’s are struggling heavily also gives a message to Brendan Rodgers, and possible additions to the senior squad as we do believe the standards of the PL2 could be compared to 5th or even 6th level of the English league pyramid.
Leicester do have a few players out on loan that could be strengthened the team and of course in certain games able to bring points to the table as they did in the one before Wolves, finishing with a 1-1 draw vs. Crystal Palace.
Leicester will play Liverpool and Blackburn in their next two fixtures and hopefully Ben Petty can get more fresh legs available and hope for better performances.
